New Toy-Trampoline

For Christmas this past year, my children recieved a trampoline from there Grandpa M.  It truly has been a wonderful gift because everytime they go on it, they are exhausted by the time they are done.  They get so  much exercise and they have a lot of fun at the same time.   It has the safety net and padding all over it, which made it much safer in my mind.  Most people say trampolines are so dangerous and would never let their children get one but for me the danger never outweighs the fun.  (I really don't want them to get hurt, safety is always first)  Growing up I wanted a trampoline but my parents could never afford it.  Now, I feel so blessed that my children get to have one, which also means I get it too.   It something the whole family can do and is a great way to relax and play with our kids.  We also have a great climate which allows us to use it all year round.

Anyway, I took some pictures of the kiddos yesterday having a blast in the 60 degree weather.  Thought I would share.  Some are a little blurry but they are too funny to not post.  Kids are so funny in front of a camera.

Brown Rice

So this might be pretty sad but I am attempting to make brown rice for the first time. I am not to sure if I will just make it plain or with something added to it. Any suggestions? I've been wanting to make the switch from white rice to brown for awhile since there is more nutritional value to brown rice.  I am hoping that the family likes it.  I've had it many times, of course made by others, but I love it.  Everything I have seen so far looking up recipes have been Chicken and brown rice, chicken and brown rice, chicken and brown rice and I AM NOT making chicken so we'll see. My main dish is Lemon Pepper Ruffy baked in the oven. Wish me luck and off I go.

Just Love Little Girls

One things I just love about having a little girl is the adorable clothing. It's funny how I can get so excited over something as silly as walking through the little girls clothing aisle. There is just so much you can do with shirts, shorts, capris, dresses, tops, tank tops, and on and on and on and on. It could go on forever. How fun it is to make your little girl look so cute, which of course her clothing is not what makes her cute but its fun playing dress-up. My husband just rolls his eyes at me everytime we go by the little girls section, poor guy. Anyway, I have been searching for some spring/summer clothing that I can get Payton for her 5th birthday and I think I have found some pretty dang cute things. Take a look.

Just Stuff

Today the sun is shining and it's good to be alive.  Over the past couple of months things have kept us busy, a good busy, but busy.  It's feels good to be blogging again.

My son Logan turned three on December 20th and he's getting so big.  I can't believe it.  His personality and talking are really showing through in the last couple of months.  I love that our children are so different from each other.  It makes each of them so special in their own God given way.  It's awesome.

My daughter Payton is turning 5 on February 20th, which is a special day for us since Ryan and I were married on the same day one year earlier.  We usually celebrate her birthday during the day and our anniversary that night.  It all works out just fine.

I started playing on a women's volleyball league and it has been great.  We are actually quite good for how many have not played before.  Last season we won the league and hope to do the same this season.  It's fun though and that is the reason for doing it.  We mess up, get silly and really do just have a great time.  And better yet my wonderful and amazing husband takes my kids for the whole night and loves them til there's no energy left.  It really is a great stress reliever for me since stay at home mom's don't really get days off.

My husband is out of town til thursday which is quite different for us.  He doesn't usually have to go away but once in a great while he will for work.  Of course I don't like it but we make do and there are some parts about it though that I do like. For instance, snuggling in my bed and watching movies with the kiddos.  If they fall asleep in my bed that's ok because there is room since Ryan is gone.  I do miss him a lot and can't wait for him to be home.  I love you sweety and stay safe.

Again

So I thought I would try this blogging thing again.
